There is no age restriction for getting the J1 Intern or Trainee visa. For self-placement, we accept candidates who are older than 34 years old, provided we can demonstrate that they will enhance their skills and expertise in their academic or occupational fields through participation in the J1 program. Our goal is for our candidates to take their careers to the next level, gaining valuable personal and professional experience in the United States.
The majority of candidates who pass this age have already reached high-level or senior-level positions in the occupational field they wish to pursue, and proving their J1 participation will enhance their skills and expertise is more challenging. You should understand that identifying qualified candidates over 35 years old is a more time-consuming process, as it is a case-by-case evaluation. Some J1 sponsors impose an age limit to reduce costs, but we do not. We specialize in advanced management trainee programs for future executives and have a high success rate of visa approval at the U.S. embassy.

Yes, you are allowed to change employers during your J-1 visa, but only under specific circumstances, as outlined in U.S. Department of State regulations, and with our approval. Here’s when and how a transfer might be allowed:
– Your host company can no longer host you (e.g., they shut down, can no longer offer training, or violate program conditions).
– Major issues at the host site (e.g., unsafe working conditions, harassment).
– The current placement does not align with the DS7002, and a better-fit host is available.
This must be well-documented and reported to us. This might result in a possible site visit by the sponsor for any decisions.
Wanting a higher salary, a more exciting city, or better hours is not a valid reason.
If it’s through self-placement, you’ll need to find a new host company to transfer your J-1 visa on your own. If it’s through our career program, we will do our best to find a suitable replacement for you with another host company.
If there is a violation of your J-1 program obligations or U.S. law, it may result in the immediate termination of your J-1 status, and we will not permit any J-1 transfer.
In the event of a visa denial at the U.S. Embassy, you must notify us within three business days of the denial and return the original Form DS-2019, along with proof of the denial from the Embassy or Consulate, within 10 business days from the date of the denial to be eligible for a resubmission or a refund.
If this is not a firm denial, we will resubmit your application with your approval, following the reason for the denial, at no extra cost, so you can reattend the appointment at the embassy. We can do up to three attendances.
If this is a firm denial or if you do not wish to resubmit your application, we will proceed with the refund in accordance with our refund policy.
Please note that we have achieved a 95% success rate in visa approvals at the US Embassy so far, with a 100% success rate in Europe and Canada.
