Beware of fraud impersonating USponsorMe and Sarah Papasodaro

Warning: Beware of Scams Impersonating USponsorMe

At USponsorMe, we assist candidates who already have a host company with the documentation required for J-1 Intern and Trainee visa applications. Unfortunately, scammers are impersonating USponsorMe and our founder, Sarah Papasodaro, through fraudulent communications.

We want to ensure that you can recognize these scams and protect yourself.

How the Scam Works

Fraudsters may contact you via WhatsApp, Facebook, or other messaging platforms, claiming to be from USponsorMe and/or Sarah Papasodaro. They may:

  • Offer fake job opportunities with visa sponsorship (we do not provide these)
  • Impersonate USponsorMe by creating fake websites, email addresses, or social media accounts
  • Request payment for job placement or visa processing (we do not charge any fees for job placement or job search assistance)

What You Should Know

How to Verify Legitimate Communication

What to Do If You Encounter a Scam

  1. Do not respond or send money to the fraudster.
  2. Block the sender on WhatsApp, Facebook, or other platforms.
  3. Report the scam to the platform (WhatsApp, Facebook) and forward any suspicious emails to us.
  4. Report the scam to us by sharing the link you used to join their WhatsApp group and the links to the Facebook posts, so we can report it to Meta and help prevent others from being scammed.
