1. Eligibility Verification
Who: USponsor Me
Time: Two business days
Either the participant or the host company completes the quick form on our website. Once submitted, we will schedule a call with both parties to assess eligibility for the J-1 program.
2. Online Application Submission
Who: Participant & Host Company
Both the participant and host company will be invited to complete the online application and submit all required information and supporting documents.
3. Application Review & Preparation
Who: USponsor Me
Time: Four business days
We review the submitted information and documents, prepare the full application package including the DS-7002 training plan, and file it with the sponsor.
4. Application Validation & Package Issuance
Who: Sponsor & USponsor Me
Time: Four business days (plus two additional days if an on-site visit is required)
Our trusted sponsor partner conducts an on-site visit if required, reviews and validates the application, and issues the DS-2019. USponsorMe manages the participant’s SEVIS registration.
5. Visa Insuance
Who: U.S. Embassy / Consulate
Time: Depends on embassy appointment availability
The participant will be prompted to complete the DS-160 form and schedule a visa interview at the U.S. embassy or consulate. Once approved, the visa is issued, allowing the participant to begin the J-1 program.
